We both loved it. The guided tour with John was brilliant ……such knowledge that he had and with kindness and humour.  I wonder if the general tour would allow people into the Ops Room to gather around the table and get the feel of what actually happened in such a small dark room.  I know Jack – Adam and Sarah’s son was as appreciative as I was. He was busy looking at the technology, the headsets and tin helmets. …. what a treat to be so close to the past and such an amazing history.

Meeting other members of Steel Bones and sharing experience and laughs was uplifting as always.  The inclusion, acceptance and camaraderie are like no other.  People and their families (and I am including our family members in this) who have not had any direct experience of amputation really do not understand the issues that have to be met on a daily basis.
