for Amputees and Limb Different Community

Steel Bones offers a FREE Careers Service for amputees and their families, helping them find fulfilling work, training, or volunteering opportunities. Support is tailored to each person’s abilities, goals, and circumstances, boosting confidence and independence after limb loss.

Our expert volunteers provide this service completely free to help our community thrive.

Created with careers specialist Tony McBride and professional CV writer Lindsay Fullarton, the programme offers a unique, personalised approach to helping amputees re-enter the workforce with confidence.

Our wonderful volunteer experts, Tony and Lindsay, are here to offer tailored, one-to-one support to help you move forward with confidence. Whether it’s updating your CV, preparing for interviews, exploring new career paths, or simply talking through your options — they’re friendly, approachable, and genuinely passionate about helping you succeed.

 

So far, in just 6 months, their guidance has helped members:

  • Gain acceptance onto a Law Conversion Course — an incredible achievement!
