Free Legal Drop in With Irwin Mitchell
Irwin Mitchell, one of our corporate supporters, will be offering a free legal drop-in for individuals and families. You will have the opportunity to speak with one of their experienced Medical Negligence or Serious Injury solicitors in a confidential 30-minute telephone or video appointment. Our current book is: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
Huck is a young, naive white boy fleeing from his drunken, dangerous Pap, and Jim is a runaway slave longing to be reunited with his family. Flung together by circumstance, they journey down the Mississippi together on a log raft, each in search of his own definition of freedom. A daring adventure and a story of staying faithful to your own morals, no matter what society values.
This book was first published in 1884 in the UK when beliefs and attitudes were very different to now. PSA: it does include racial slurs which you might find offensive. We would love you to join in reading this book with us this month but understand if it becomes a difficult read for you.
