Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month #LLLDAM
Join us this April to celebrate Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month. We will be focussing on seeing the ability and not the disability of our community members.
Our objective for this month-long campaign is to empower and connect with people with limb loss and limb difference to reduce isolation and loneliness. Persons with a disability have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and as lockdown easing is within-sight we will spread awareness of the support network and opportunities available to community members to reengage in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
Our consortium of limb different charities and organisations will spend April raising awareness around living with limb loss and limb difference, both for the individuals affected and their family and support network. We will be sharing events and resources to entertain, educate and connect empowering individuals and families to live a healthier and fuller life; sharing real life stories to offer insight and tips to support the lifelong rehabilitation journey.
By working together we have a greater geographical spread and community reach across the UK. You too can support the recognition and celebration of #LLLDAM and #LimbLossLimbDifferenceAwarenessMonth and spread the word using the Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month logos. Use the Facebook profile frame too.
