We were honoured to be invited to join HRH, Prince of Wales for the 40th Birthday Party of The Stained Glass Museum.
It was a very special event with many local Dignitaries and Charities attending. We were most delighted to share the experience with Naomi Sherwood of Ely Heroes Awards and also meet Dorothy, RAF veteran.
There was beautiful music played, which created a divine sound in The Lady Chapel of Ely Cathedral. Some of the musicians included students from King’s School. The Prince cut a fantastic cake and then spent some time talking with many of us there. We also met the Lord Lieutenant Julie Spence who we have been in conversation with for some time but never met in person and it was amazing to meet this wonderful woman making such a real and powerful Impact on Charities in her region.
We were lucky enough to speak to him too, albeit we were a little star struck but he greatly enjoyed the Steel Bones goody bag we gifted to his grandchildren. This included the OpCare Teddy Bear which the Prince thought was particularly cute. It also contained our Steel Bones Colouring Sheets and one of our Support packs. We sincerely hope the Prince’s grandchildren enjoy it.
We remain bowled over by the experience and feel incredibly special to have been included. It was a fantastic experience that will stay with us forever.
