At the end of January, Steel Bones spent the day with a truly remarkable school community who has pulled together in tough times ! We loved the fact they said hello in Welsh, particularly apt in Brexit week👍

Our awesome team loved it, the pupils were outstanding😊 Thank you to Wendy and Colin for leading workshops plus a very special visitor, our Ambassador, Alice Mason.

We loved collaborating with Laureateā€™s fantastic staff to create this school event raising awareness of daily challenges we all experience and how best to tackle them ! The one armed sandwich making workshop is always a lot of fun.Ā  We shared our Childrenā€™s book – A Day Out With Speedy and got brilliant feedback for the next edition. There were so many mature and insightful questions from children, it was a privilege to take them through our workshops.

Steel Bonesā€™ Ambassador Alice Mason who many of you know is a Ā Team GB ROWER gave expert rowing tasters, which went down a storm. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO OUR FANTASTIC VOLUNTEERS FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE AND TO LAUREATE FOR BEING JUST A MOST AWESOME SCHOOL ! #FeelingInspired #NextGeneration #KindInclusiveHumanity

Since attending the school they have held a sponsored walk event raising funds for us and a pupil of theirs who became an amputee.Ā  The fundraising event celebrated this pupil walking on her new prosthetic leg.Ā  this school does not cease to amaze us at how they celebrate differences so beautifully and the strength and care they give to one another. Laureate – we love working with you and look forward to staying in touch. THANK YOU FOR THE DONATION This will go towards helping us help more schools with amputee families.
