Partnerships Coordinator (Part-Time – 20 Hours)

Remote working available but requirement to attend monthly team meetings and travel across the country to attend conferences, events and lead activities when required.  This will include weekend working, which is shared amongst the team and should be a weekend event every 1-2 months for each colleague. It may also require evening working and we operate a TOIL system to ensure all hours balanced.

Role Purpose

The Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing relationships that increase income, awareness, and reach for Steel Bones. The role focuses on building strategic partnerships, strengthening networks, and creating opportunities that support fundraising, membership growth, and inclusive engagement across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partnership Development & Growth
  • Identify and secure new partnerships with:
    • Corporate organisations
    • Local and national businesses
    • Community groups and networks
  • Research and launch new partnership opportunities or focus areas
  • Develop tailored proposals aligned with organisational priorities
  1. Business Income & Fundraising Support
  • Support development of income-generating partnerships and sponsorships
  • Contribute to fundraising initiatives linked to events and campaigns
  • Work alongside the Marketing Coordinator to maximise campaign reach and income
  1. Network & Ambassador Development
  • Grow and strengthen:
    • Local and regional partnerships
    • Ambassador networks
  • Support expansion beyond the East of England
  • Contribute to launching new Steel Bones or affiliated groups
  • Ensure engagement at a local level
  1. NHS & Strategic Partnerships (Lead Role)
  • Build and manage relationships with NHS services and clinics
  • Support delivery of:
    • Visits to 80% of NHS clinics annually
    • Quarterly engagement and resource sharing
  • Help develop resources and plans to strengthen NHS engagement
  1. Events & Partnership Engagement (Shared Responsibility)
  • Support partnership involvement in:
    • Regional and national events
    • Fundraising activities
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to maximise:
    • Attendance
    • Sponsorship opportunities
  • Partner visibility
  • Contribute insights from partnerships to inform organisational planning
  1. Diversity & Inclusion Growth
  • Support initiatives to increase diversity across membership
  • Contribute to target of increasing diverse membership
  1. Monitoring, Reporting & Administration
  • Maintain records of partnerships, contacts, and outcomes
  • Track progress against targets including:
    • Partnerships secured
    • Income contribution
    • Network growth
  • Provide updates and reports on performance

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience with remote working
  • Experience in partnerships, fundraising, or business development
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence engaging external partners and organisations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Interest in community development and inclusion
