What’s your name and your new role at the charity?

Ian Wood (Diversity Manager)

Where are you based, and where do you call home?

I live and am based in Sidcup, South East London.

What are you most excited about in working with the limb loss and limb community? 
I think the freedom to express and basically just do something worthwhile without the overseeing eye of concern from Ministers.

Are there any particular projects or events you’re especially looking forward to?

I really like meeting people and getting them to chat and open up. I’ve got a particular skill in engaging people to help them achieve more.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you? 

I’m a dab hand at karaoke.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love sport but am totally obsessed with golf.

Is there anything you’d like to say to the charity’s beneficiaries as you begin your journey with us?

I can’t wait to see how my role will enable more people to engage with what I currently see as a group of good people trying to do good things for others and supporting them to get out to more people across the country.
