Steel Bones Marks 10th Birthday with Biggest Celebration Day Yet and Launch of First-Ever Youth Festival
Isleham, Cambridgeshire – On Sunday 13 July 2025, Steel Bones welcomed hundreds of families, partners, and supporters to The Beeches in Isleham for its annual Celebration Day – made even more special this year as the charity marked its 10th anniversary and launched its very first Youth Festival, thanks to support from BBC Children in Need.
What began as a small Facebook group is now a national charity supporting over 3,000 people, including 1,430 amputees and their families, across the UK. Celebration Day 2025 honoured this incredible journey, showcasing the resilience, unity, and impact of the amputee community.
A Day to Remember
The event was action-packed with live entertainment, hands-on activities, inspiring workshops, and community spirit at every turn. The inaugural Youth Festival ran from 10:30am–2:00pm, filled with youth-led activities and creative expression – a powerful demonstration of the confidence and leadership growing within Steel Bones’ younger generation.
Families enjoyed entertainment from Wayne Goodman, High Voltage Events, Party Malarkey, DJ Jay, The Fenmen, Collage-Band, Lily’s Inflatables, Wycombe Pastures Petting Zoo, face painting by Edward and Hollie, and many more.
Key partners also attended, including Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service, Suffolk Police, St Louis School PTA, Pets As Therapy, Peterborough Phantoms Para Ice Hockey Club, Semper Anticus Motorsport, and Soham Cadets. The support from Isleham Parish Council and Isleham Youth Football Club added a strong local presence.
