After the London meet up, Ann-Marie visited a Art exhibition nearby and she lvoed it so we asked her to write soem words so we could share with you all.  Thanks so much Anne-Marie for sharing your experiences …

The Vinyl Factory at 180 Studios presents REVERB. A major multimedia exhibition exploring the intersection of art and sound

I had such a great time at the exhibition!! It was so much more than I’d expected it to be, it’s a real must for music fans. I was transfixed from start to finish, which can be a huge struggle for me with my brain fog and fatigue issues. The content of the exhibition was very calming and inspiring, I watched all of the films, and my visit was about 3.5 hours long in total but you could do it quicker if you wanted.

Accessibility tickets are free and you can book one ticket holder and one companion.

The accessibility can be difficult once inside, there’s this huge slope that is both the entrance and exit to the exhibition. It’s a lot steeper than it looks, which could be difficult, I know I wouldn’t have been able to do it on foot and was thankful I had lots of charge left in my powerchair to cope with the incline!

There’s also some uneven ground inside, which my chair struggled with. There is seating in all of the sections where the films are shown, however, it is concrete so worth noting if this is an issue for your prosthetic, I know that would’ve been difficult with my socket on it (above knee amputation).

The whole exhibition is dark/ low lit. They have disabled toilets, in fact very snazzy ones where the exhibition entrance is. The space is accessed via a lift, which staff will assist you with when you arrive at the location.

The exhibition is on until November 10th, full details here: https://www.180studios.com/. From my understanding the accessibility tickets are free on all of their exhibitions and they regularly change exhibitions.

Lots of bus stops nearby and to where I live in New Cross, the cost of a journey with TAXICARD is £8: https://www.londoncouncils.gov.uk/services/taxicard. Not sure where the nearest suitable parking is.

Had a great time, I would definitely recommend!
