Adult Beginner Series:

Adult Advanced Series:

We are Walk:Enabled CIC, a community interest company working with people with amputation and limb-difference. As part of our work, we offer support for those returning to activity as well as research exploring physical activity and limb-difference.

The UR:Enabled exercise programme was developed as part of a seven-year research project, with direct input from the community. The programme was piloted with amputee participants and it significantly increased their physical activity levels. Increased activity levels were also maintained after the programme was completed. You can access the paper here.

Thanks to funding from Sport England and the National Lottery and in partnership with the charity LimbPower, we have produced two series (Beginner and Advanced) of videos, aimed at providing post-rehabilitation amputees with access to at-home adapted workouts.

This is the first ever validated exercise programme and video series, made specifically for and with amputees, that includes different levels of difficulty to allow participants to make gradual progression in increasing their fitness.

By popular demand the programme has also been adapted into a pirate-themed series of videos for kids, featuring children with amputation and limb-difference.

If you have questions about the exercise programme or Walk:Enabled, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Miranda Asher
