So folks we are so THRILLED to let you know about 2 surveys happening.
One is by Steel Bones Member and final year University Student, Helena Stone who is conducting a much needed study into Inclusive education. Please read below and complete the questions. Here’s a message from Helena: Hi All.
I am currently in my final year of my BA Education degree and completing some research on amputees and education for my dissertation. I am an amputee myself and future educationalist.
I am looking to find out more about amputee’s perceptions of education. To help educationalists in the future to create a more inclusive education system. Both one that is inclusive in practice and that builds inclusive attitudes.
As part of this I have a questionnaire (link below) You do not need to have recent experience of education. There are no right / wrong answers! The questionnaire is anonymous, voluntary and been through all the appropriate research procedures.
Huge thank you to all who chose to take part

Here’s info on THE NATIONAL DISABILITY SURVEY organised by the DISABILITY UNIT of The Cabinet. So important we ensure the amputee community is represented so please do complete this and ask your family members to do so too. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/citizen-space-survey-national-strategy-for-disabled-people
