Hi Leigh,
We just wanted to let you know about the amazing day we had on Tuesday at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground when we went to watch the Manchester Originals 100 game.
Dave has been to the ground many times over the years but this was his first visit since his amputation and was feeling quite nervous about going in his wheelchair.
His experience was brilliant, they opened a special gate for him with a level entrance and directed us to the stand that had wheelchair seating. We were treated like VIP’s, taken up in the lift and to our seats. We had a fantastic view of the ground, a bar just behind us for drinks and two disabled access toilets close by. We only had to pay for one seat as I went as his carer.
Would definitely say they deserve a gold star.
