At Steel Bones, we are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with incredible organisations that share our vision of a more empowered, connected, and supported amputee community. Our partnerships with the Amputee User Group Alliance (AUGA) and the Amputee Charity Network (ACN) are key pillars in delivering meaningful change across the UK.

Steel Bones Local Ambassadors Network

Through our Local Ambassadors Network, we help amplify the voices of local amputee support groups and community-led meet-ups across the UK. We believe in community-first action — our network provides a supportive platform for local groups to connect, share learning, and strengthen their collective impact on the lives of amputees and their families.

Steel Bones plays an active role in:

• Sharing practical tools, guidance, and resources to help groups run sustainably and safely
• Hosting collaboration meetings, workshops, and network-wide events
• Encouraging peer-to-peer learning, leadership, and confidence within amputee-led initiatives

The Network meets every 4th Tuesday at 5.00pm to 6.00pm online and is open to all volunteers running these fantastic meet ups and activities for people with limb loss and limb difference.  Please contact emma@steelbone.co.uk to be included.

Supporting the Amputee Charity Network

The Amputee Charity Network brings together charities and nonprofits with a shared commitment to amputee wellbeing. Steel Bones contributes to this powerful collective by:

• Championing campaigns that highlight the needs of amputees and their families
• Facilitating joined-up support across charities for maximum impact
• Ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of national conversations around limb loss and limb difference
• Together, we are building a stronger network that can reach more people, reduce isolation, and celebrate every win along the way.
