Greetings, Steel Bones Adventurers!
As we paddle into the heart of summer, the excitement for the Steel Bones Canoe Challenge is building up! Our recent training events have been a great success, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights and upcoming events with all of you.
Latest Training Events on the River Stour
Our latest training session on the picturesque River Stour went splendidly! The weather was perfect, the water was calm, and the enthusiasm was contagious. Here’s a quick rundown of what went down:
- Learning the Ropes (or, Should We Say, Paddles!)
Our training focused on the fundamentals of canoeing, with a special emphasis on steering. Participants quickly picked up the skills needed to navigate their canoes smoothly, mastering the art of controlling their direction and pace. Steering is a vital skill as 26 miles becomes much further zig zagging down the river . - John’s Impressive Canoe
A special shout-out to John, who brought his very own canoe to the training. His passion for canoeing were evident, and his presence added an extra layer of inspiration for all participants.
Upcoming Training Dates
We are excited to announce our next training sessions on the River Stour:
